Founded in 1905 as Cornhill Insurance, Allianz Insurance plc has grown to be one of the UK’s leading general insurance providers and employs 4,500 people in the UK and India.

Led by Chief Executive, Andrew Torrance, the organisation has two main trading divisions:
Allianz Commercial and Allianz Retail.

Allianz Commercial provides commercial insurance products to the intermediated
small and mid-commercial markets. The division also includes Allianz Engineering,
market leader in the fields of engineering insurance and inspection business.

Allianz Retail is made up of Schemes, Allianz Legal Protection, Petplan, Personal Lines and Musical Instruments. Schemes provides innovative insurance solutions to corporate clients in the areas of extended warranty, payment protection, mobile technology and all risks.
