New Business Manager Steven Burrell has worked at Allianz Schemes for over four years. The focus of his role is the acquisition of new business through pro-active prospecting. On a day to day basis this involves managing tenders, developing knowledge of prospects and competitors, campaign management and developing opportunities for the future.
Before joining Schemes, Steven spent 13 years working for Cornhill Life undertaking a variety of roles before moving into sales. He has worked extensively with insurance intermediaries in the mortgage and pensions sectors and has experience of managing a range of regulatory issues.
With a strong commitment to the business and a determination to be successful in everything that he does, Steven says he enjoys the challenge of working in an environment where there is always something new to learn and believes it is the people at Schemes that make a difference in a competitive market place.

Jon Layton joined schemes in the third quarter of 2007 with the sole responsibility for development of Broker business and
additional (Alternate) channels.
With a wealth of experience gained over a 25-year insurance career including London Markets, Retail, Wholesale, Life and Pensions, Warranty and Commercial lines. As well as running his own general brokerage for a number of years; Jon has been a firm supporter of the schemes model, developing a number of opportunities including a point of sale facility for major motor manufacturers.
Most recently, Jon spearheaded the development of a number of government-approved warranty schemes for a number of Competent Persons Bodies, following enforced changes to Building Regulations. These schemes continue to operate today.
With his background and experience, Jon feels that he is ideally positioned to assist Partner Brokers with all of their scheme requirements and is convinced that the schemes portfolio will provide additional income opportunities for existing clients as well as generating new business enquiries in a consolidating marketplace.
